Don't click this link unless you are prepared to cringe: Appalachian is hot, hot, hot! The video is the official university promo that was on the new chancellor caravan across the state. Thankfully, it has been removed from the ASU website. I see nothing wrong with it. It reminds me of a combination of a SNL parody and an Up With People show. Yep, I was big "Up With People" fan in the '70s.

oh my. like the infamous joe theisman leg-breaking, i just could not watch it. three comments:
a. based on the title, i thought it was a version of the reggae classic. sadly, that would have been better.
b. what the hell is "the language of a brave new year"?
c. i especially love the phrase "appalachian family", although 95 percent of the country probably have a different image than the one the university hoped to portray.

To be honest, the Theisman twisted, distorted, broken leg clip is slightly easier to watch. The ASU video has a positive function; I watch it prior to meal times & it acts as an appetite suppressant.
