From the WSJ morning report:
Nature: In an effort to pool the knowledge of university professors and students around the globe and produce 1,000 university textbooks using wiki technology, the University of Georgia has begun a project to compile information from free online texts that span undergraduate subjects from biology to literature to computer science.
this is a good idea [sarc]. my phrase of the month is "it's on the internet, so it's true." i can't tell you how many students think "research" is a synonym for "google".
